The Executive President of GCIB, Mr. Doucouré, recently completed a high-level business mission to South Korea, aimed at fostering industrial cooperation and advancing key projects in Africa. This visit included meetings with strategic partners across various industries, ranging from mobility and energy to agriculture, cosmetics, and housing development.
Collaboration with Gooler Mobility – Driving the Future of Electric Vehicles
In partnership with Gooler Mobility, Mr. Doucouré held a working session with the executive team to discuss the development of the electric vehicle industry in Africa. The visit included a tour of Gooler’s cutting-edge electric vehicle production facility, reinforcing GCIB’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.
Waste-to-Energy Dialogue
A key highlight of the trip was a partnership dialogue with a waste incineration plant, focusing on innovative waste-to-energy solutions. This collaboration aims to address environmental challenges while providing sustainable energy alternatives for African cities.
Agriculture and Livestock Feed Production
Mr. Doucouré also visited a Korean animal feed production plant, specialized in poultry and livestock nutrition. Discussions centered on knowledge transfer, technology sharing, and the establishment of potential local production facilities to support Africa’s agricultural transformation.
Cosmetics and Skincare – Partnership with CICA Farm Stay
At the CICA Farm Stay facility, Mr. Doucouré engaged in fruitful discussions on cosmetics and skincare. This collaboration seeks to bring innovative Korean cosmetic solutions to African markets, creating new opportunities in the beauty and wellness industry.
Sanitary Production & Social Housing Development with SICAP
One of the most promising outcomes was a partnership with a sanitary production company, aligned with GCIB’s collaboration with SICAP. Together, they are working towards the ambitious 10,000 social housing project, which will integrate modern sanitary solutions into affordable housing developments.
Daesung Elevator – Elevating Infrastructure Development
GCIB also held strategic talks with Daesung Elevator Korea. Discussions focused on the establishment of
an elevator assembly plant, which will play a vital role in supporting Africa’s urban infrastructure projects.
Networking and Business Dinners with Korean Partners
The mission concluded with a business dinner bringing together several Korean partners. This event provided an opportunity to strengthen ties, explore synergies, and reaffirm GCIB’s vision of building strong industrial and economic bridges between Africa and South Korea.
